Again, I'm sorry I did not keep track of all the sources as I skipped around the internet. We have the world and HISTORY at our fingertips, if only to seek inspiration and truth. Many of the facts I have stated were from multiple sources. In any case all of these women were and some still are inspiring. 

Every town, state in this great country, has women's stories that need to be told and passed on to the next generations. History lives in everyone's daily actions, all we need to do is record it, be inspired, learn and remember.

Please look further into these exceptional women 
and their stories.

    1. Thanks, Jeanie. I'm sure we all have women of achievement in our cities and states. I remember in the late 70's there was barely any history--you had to dig very deep to find anything. Definitely easier now! Sandi
